Brisbane based shutterbug, Kris Excell, started his photographic career as a landscape, architectural and motorsport photographer, creating vibrant images for panoramic prints, mainly bound for office and business walls. Regular enquiries from some of those clients also asking about portrait and wedding work saw him decide to extend his services to cover those areas on request.

Capturing those unique, special moments in clients lives quickly became the primary focus of Valella Photography. There are few things more special than the moment you show parents the results of a session with their beautiful newborn, or a family session where you manage to capture the all the individual personalities that create that family bond. Rather than asking clients to pose, and have them freeze with their best fake smile, in a rushed 1/2hr session, Kris prefers to allow people to just spend time interacting with each other in a relaxed session, having fun while he works around you to capture those "moments" that make for a memorable image for years to come.
